We believe in humanity's call to be stewards of beauty. We make a distinction of not defining beauty as attractive or as wholesome necessarily, but something more expansive that relishes curiosity, dissonance, the known and the unknown. This call to stewardship means a drive for cultivation, generative critique and humility.
Creativity is inextricably linked to the core of what it means to be human. As we develop conversations around creativity they merge into conversations about what is primary and essential, what is rooted in the depths of the individual and the community, and bridge into conversations about spirituality, truth, beauty, and goodness.
The Well gathers for the sake of community and provides events to share ideas, creative expression, and food together.
As we grow we hope to provide opportunities and resources for those who are beginning to develop their chosen craft, as well as those who have been developing their craft for longer periods of time and everyone in between. Through class/workshop settings, exhibition/studio space, resources, as well as space for performance driven artists: songwriters, poets, dancers, etc., The Well offers a place where we can be hospitable to one another through what we make.
